🧠 What it means

This one looks kinda tricky, doesn’t it? But it actually just means: 👉 as soon as So yeah, it’s a great way to talk about doing something immediately after something else. Which, by the way, is why it often takes the subjunctive: you’re referring to a future event that may or may not happen! Ahorita que llegues, te explico.
As soon as you arrive, I’ll explain.

🌪️ When to whip it out

Whenever you want to say you’ll do something the moment another thing happens:

Ahorita que termines, nos vamos.
As soon as you finish, we’ll head out.
Ahorita que salga el sol, nos echamos un cafecito.
As soon as the sun comes out, we’ll have a coffee.

Oh, and it can also be used like now that (no subjunctive!):

Ahorita que lo pienso, no está tan difícil.
Now that I think about it, it's not that hard.
Ahorita que me cuentas eso, no puedo evitar recordar lo que pasó ayer.
Now that you mention it, I can’t help remembering what happened yesterday.
