This is one of those sneaky little chunks that will make you sound SOOO much more natural if you actually use it when speaking!
It often translates well as:
👉 …or anything
👉 …or anything like that
It’s basically a chill, dismissive, or sarcastic way to end a sentence (and give it a little extra flavor 🌶️).
🌪️ When to whip it out
When you want to clarify or downplay something:
No lo dije en mala onda ni nada.
I didn’t mean it in a bad way or anything.
Él y yo no somos pareja ni nada.
We’re not a couple or anything.
No quiero que pienses que fue por ti, ni nada.
I don’t want you to think it was because of you or anything.
When listing stuff that’s missing (and you’re kinda disappointed):
No trajo flores, ni chocolates, ni nada.
He didn’t bring flowers, or chocolates, or anything like that.
No hay pizza, ni hamburguesas, ni nada.
There’s no pizza, no burgers, nothing.
When you want to emphasize that someone DIDN’T do something (often with a hint of disbelief/criticism):
No me ha llamado ni nada.
He hasn’t called or anything like that.
No le dijo perdón ni nada.
He didn’t say sorry or anything.
