This one’s my fave Mexican softener… just drop it right before saying something that might sound arrogant, blunt, critical, etc., to sound (slightly) less savage, lol.
Think of it like:
👉 Not to brag or anything…
👉 No shade… but here’s some shade...
👉 Just saying…
💡 It can go BEFORE or AFTER the opinion you're softening.

When you want to sound humble (but you're 100% flexing):
No es por nada, pero sí me rifé.
Not to brag or anything, but I crushed it.
No es por nada, pero me quedó bien chido.
Not to brag or anything… but it turned out really well.
You can also use it before dropping a direct criticism:
No es por nada, wey… pero siempre llegas tarde.
No offense, dude… but you’re always late.
Or when you’re pointing out something obvious and don’t want to sound preachy:
No es por nada, pero ya son las 3 am.
It's already 3 am, just saying.
