And this one’s an absolute LIFESAVER, especially if you’re speaking Spanish and your brain decides to hit the pause button mid-sentence. 🧠💨
It generally translates well to:

💡 Se me fue literally means it went away from me, but native speakers use it when they have a brain fart while talking.
So yeah, next time you forget a word or lose your train of thought, just drop a casual “¡Se me fue!” and nobody will bat an eyelid.
🌪️ When to whip it out
Whenever you forget what you were going to say or have a sudden mental blank:
Y se llama… ¡híjole, se me fue!
And it’s called… dang, I can’t remember!
You can also use it with a noun to say what exactly you forgot:
Se me fue la palabra.

@Michaelhg Yeah, I find myself using these a bit more than I’d like too, haha.
@Michaelhg You’ve also got “se me fue el pedo”, which is pretty common but slightly vulgar, so best not to use it with people you don’t know.
