Time for another SUPER CHUNK! 🎉
And this could honestly be one of the most important chunks of all (and I ain’t exaggerating!).
It’s basically THE go-to way of ordering food at a puesto in Mexico!
It means something like:
👉 Can you give me… / I’ll have…Me das... = when you’re talking to someone in a friendly, informal way (street vendor, buddy, etc.).
Me da... = when you’re keeping it polite
🌪️ When to whip it out
Whenever you’re ordering street food, drinks, tickets, etc.
Me das una torta de pastor, porfa.
Can I get a pastor torta, please?
¿Me da un latte con leche entera, por favor?
Could I have a latte with whole milk, please?
Me das dos boletos para la función de las 7, por favor.
Two tickets for the 7 o’clock showing, please.
⚠️ Tone
✅ Super natural, everyday Mexican Spanish.
✅ Perfectly polite if you say me da and por favor.
🚫 Don’t overthink it! This is THE way to order stuff!
